Georgia Guidestones
While on a multi-state road trip in 2015, I decided to stop at the mysterious Georgia Guidestones in Georgia. I arrived just after sunrise and was able to capture some 360-degree panoramic images. Below you can view five of the panoramic images I captured around the monument allowing you to view it like you were there in person. While I was here taking the photos, something, I find weird happened. Two guys pulled up in a white truck, stopped, and watched me. After a few minutes, they got back in the truck and slowly left. Normally, when people see me, they tend to ask what I am doing since I have the tripod with a camera mounted to a turret. Maybe they could see I was just there taking photos and decided to leave, I do not know.

Located in Elbert County, Georgia, the Georgia Guidestones is a mysterious monument that was erected in 1980. The monument stands 19 feet 3 inches tall and is made up of 6 granite slabs. There are five vertical slabs, one in the center and four arranged around it. There is a capstone slab that lies on top of the five vertical slabs, all of which are astronomically aligned. Off to the side, there is an additional stone tablet that provides a background on the history and purpose of the Guidestones. The Guidestones have been featured on many TV shows and are sometimes referred to as the “American Stonehenge”.

- Prize truth—beauty—love—seeking harmony with the infinite.
- Be not a cancer on the Earth—Leave room for nature—Leave room for nature.
Due to the anonymity of the Guidestones authors and their apparent advocacy of population control, eugenics, and internationalism have made them an object of controversy and conspiracy theories. The only thing known about the man or group behind the Guidestones is that in June 1979, a man using the pseudonym R. C. Christian approached the Elberton Granite Finishing Company on behalf of “a small group of loyal Americans”, and commissioned the structure.
