Blowing Rocks Preserve

About the beach and preserve
Blowing Rocks Preserve is a restored sanctuary that offers a unique window into the natural history of the Florida landscape. The preserve was named for its rocky Anastasia limestone shoreline, which happens to be the largest on the Atlantic coastline. Visitors can expect to see waves crashing against the rocky shoreline sending plumes of water up to 50 feet in the air. Some wildlife guests may see include, raccoons, gopher tortoise, a variety of birds, three endangered sea turtle species, the leatherback, loggerhead, and greenback sea turtle. The preserve sits on 73 acres of restored vegetation on a barrier island on Jupiter Island, Florida. Besides the beach, the preserve offers several hiking trails. You can hike the .1-mile beach trail, the 0.4-mile dune trail, the .4-mile Lagoon trail, the .01-mile Pollinator Garden Scenic Trail, or walk the Mangrove boardwalk which is 300-feet long.
