Scrub Ridge Trail Night Panoramics
Happy New Year!
Mid-December of 2019, I went out to the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge to capture some long exposure night time 360-degree panoramic image at the 1-mile loop Scrub Ridge Trail. Below you can view two of the 360-degree images I captured along with the resulting “little planet” or “tiny planet” photos. The scrub ridge trail is located just a few miles north of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

About the trail:
The Scrub Ridge Trail is about a 1-mile loop through some unique habitat. If hiking in the day, expect it to take 30-40 minutes to walk. The trail starts off on some sandy limestone and then runs through a scrub area, which eventually turns to a grassy covers road that runs between a freshwater impoundment and the natural scrub habitat. Hikers often see the Scrub Jay, Gopher Tortoise, squirrel, and other endangered species.
