Loughman Lake Bird and Wildlife Observation Tower
On January 7th, 2022, I decided to hike to the Loughman Lake Bird and Wildlife Observation Tower to capture some 360-degree photos and a 360-degree timelapse video at sunset. While walking the trail, I did not see any alligators, however, I did spot a large otter and plenty of birds. Below you can view four (4) of the 360-degree spherical panoramic images and a 360-degree timelapse video that I captured while at the tower.

Located in Mims, Florida, the Loughman Lake Bird and Wildlife Observation Tower is a great place to spot wildlife and view birds. To get to the observation tower, you need to drive down Hatbill road for about two and a half (2.5) miles until you reach the trailhead. Park under the oak tree without blocking the gate, and you’ll need to hike .6 miles to the observation tower. The hike was easy taking about 10 mins to reach the tower and the trail was well maintained. The tower provides great panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and allows visitors to see the landscape from an elevated point of view. Expect to see and hear airboats and other vessels which might scare off some wildlife.
