Oakland Nature Preserve in Clermont, Florida
On January 20th, after photographing a business down the street, I decided to stop at the Oakland Nature Preserve to enjoy the morning and take some photographs. You can see the twelve (12) 360-degree panoramic images I captured while hiking along the boardwalk to Lake Apopka.

About the Oakland Nature Preserve
in the 1880s the area used to be a popular fishing spot with numerous fish camps around Lake Apopka. By the 1920s the city of Winter Garden started dumping sewage into the lake causing the lake to become unhealthy and then by the 1940s the farms around the lake’s northern shore were also dumping nutrients into the lake causing a lot of fish to die off. By the 1950s, a lake stabilization program was started to bring the lake back to a healthy state.
