Poinsett Bridge

On December 21, 2021, I drove to the historic Poinsett Bridge in South Carolina to take some 360-degree photos and videos. Below you can view some of the 360-degree Panoramic images in the virtual tour I created.

Click here to view it in fullscreen.

Equipment and software used to create the above 360-degree panoramic images:

  • Canon 6d mkii
  • Canon 8-15mm F4
  • Adobe Lightroom
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Photomatix
  • Autopano Giga
  • Pano2VR

In the video below, you can enjoy the sights and sounds around the historic bridge.

About the bridge

The Poinsett bridge was built in 1820 and is considered to be the oldest bridge in the state of South Carolina. It is named after Joel Poinsett, a prominent early resident of Greenville and a U.S. ambassador to Mexico at the time. The bridge was part of the State Road that connected Charleston and Columbia with the North Carolina mountain communities into Tennessee.
