United Launch Alliance AFSPC-6 Mission To Launch Twin Satellites.
On Thursday August 18, 2016 media was invited out to the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station to setup remote cameras, to photograph the Delta IV rocket on the launch pad and to conduct interviews with key members of the AFSPC-6 mission. I was able to find some extra time to come out to the pad and photograph the Delta IV rocket as it sat vertical on the pad. In the image below you can see the Delta IV rocket on the pad where I was standing about 175 feet (52 meters) away.
While at pad 37, I was able to witness the roll back of the tower from about 200 feet (62 m) away from the rocket itself. You can find the 360° images of the tower rolled away from the Delta IV and other still images on my company website. It takes the tower about 20 minutes to full clear the rocket and move into a safe position.
Below is an 360° image of the ULA Delta IV rocket vertical at Space Launch Complex 37.

After visiting the pad and waiting a few hours for the “Go For Launch” I ended up at a quiet area of Cocoa Beach where I was able to snap a nice long exposure image of the Delta IV rocket, the Cocoa Beach Pier and myself. Check out the spherical 360° panoramic below.
