Cape Canaveral Lighthouse

Built-in 1868, the Cape Canaveral Light is a historic lighthouse located on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station property on the east coast of the U.S. state of Florida and is currently owned by the United States Space Force. The original lighthouse was established in 1848 to warn ships of the dangerous shoals that lie off its coast. The lighthouse was moved to its current location between 1893 and 1894. the lighthouse is still active and still warns mariners of the dangers off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida. The cast-iron/brick-lined tower stands 151 feet which helps give the light a range of about 24 nautical miles or 28 miles. You can learn more about this historical site on the official website.
